APR Composites help rebuild the Hallett Cove Boardwalk with recycled plastic & wood.

In November 2021, construction of a new 128m boardwalk commenced connecting the Heron Way Reserve to the Field River mouth. The project is part of the Marion Council Coastal Walkway upgrade and extension.

APR Composites material was selected as the best option for exposed environments that require durable components for safe public use. 35,000kg = the volume of recycled plastic and wood flour consumed to build the substructure (posts, joists, bracing and bearers) and decking boards.

Building from the ground up! Decking and Hand Railing to come.
